How about 'resume' versus 'Curriculum Vitae'? Neither phrase is English at all. Curriculum Vitae must surely be the winner, however, because despite the fact that it is a phrase in a dead language, it uses two words rather than one and has the resonance of an elitist cultural milieu, at least it's not French. Once France has once again been rehabilitated into decent society, we may argue equally strongly that since Curriculum Vitae is frequently rather jauntily shortened to "CV", it can also assume a rather stylish gallic air, particularly when one inserts the number 2 in front of it.
