Comments: Treasury fears hold up Crossrail

No surprise really. That's exactly why we do not want nationalisation. The government is not prepared to spend the money. No private companies want to invest Stephen Buyers made sure of that with his smash and grab of Railtrack. Which costs the same in taxpayers money if they just paid up for the shares instead of paying administrators. No company wants to invest if the government inteferes. Personally like anything this country does now it will take years and go way over budget and then be priced to expensive. It seems funny that in the 1840's the givernment didn't give a cahoot about the Railways. However at least it didn't intefere even though the Acts were 'clogging' parliament. Bring back 'The Big Four' all is forgiven.
